Compassionate Care for Growing Families
Hi, I’m Cherish Scott, an Occupational Therapist and founder of The Development Collective.
I bring nearly a decade of experience working with infants, children, adults, and families across a variety of healthcare settings, including major hospital systems, acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, early intervention, neonatal intensive care units, and home-based services. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through some of their most important developmental and healthcare journeys.
Today, my passion lies in helping infants, young children, and their families thrive. As a current practicing provider with extensive experience supporting infants and families who have experienced NICU stays, I understand that every family’s story is unique. The transition from hospital to home can bring both joy and uncertainty, and I am committed to helping families feel confident, supported, and empowered along the way.
In addition to my professional experience, I bring the perspective of being a mom. Parenthood has deepened my appreciation for the challenges, questions, and victories families experience every day. This personal perspective allows me to connect with families in a meaningful and practical way.
My approach is rooted in evidence-based practice, current clinical research, and individualized care. I believe therapy is most effective when it honors each child’s strengths, each family’s values, and the goals that matter most to them. Together, we create meaningful strategies that support development, build confidence, and promote positive outcomes that extend beyond our sessions.
At The Development Collective, my goal is simple: to provide compassionate, expert support that helps infants, young children, and families grow, connect, and thrive.
